Scholarship benefits and types

The following scholarships and benefits are available for the fully funded Chalmers IPOET Scholarships for International Students-2024: Successful applicants will be awarded a two-year master’s scholarship; applicants must apply prior to the commencement of the first academic year at Chalmers; current students are not eligible.

The Avancez scholarships

Chalmers will provide a handful of scholarships to residents of non-EU/EEA countries who must pay tuition. The number of scholarships available will be established on a yearly basis. Chalmers has agreed to waive 75% of the tuition.

The IPOET Scholarships:

The Swedish government sponsors and Chalmers administers the IPOET (International Program Office for Education and Training), which gives 75% tuition fee waivers. These prizes are available to all fee-paying students. Chalmers will provide approximately 35 IPOET scholarships in 2024.

The US friends of Chalmers scholarship

Students with US citizenship are eligible for 100% full tuition waivers. The award is funded by Chalmers’ US friends and administered by Chalmers for engineering master’s program studies.

The Adlerbert study scholarship

The Adlerbert Foundation funds and administers 100% tuition fee waivers for students who are citizens of one of the 143 countries listed.

The EDU-WACQ Scholarship in Quantum Technology

The Wallenberg Center for Quantum Technology (WACQT) established a tuition waiver of 100%, with additional funding provided by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation through the EDU-WACQT initiative.

Eligibility Criteria for Chalmers University of Technology Scholarships in Sweden 2024

International students from all over the world are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have satisfied the requirement of paying tuition fees (non-EU/EEA countries).
Applicants for the master’s program at the institution must have degrees in relevant subjects.
Proof of English language competency is not required (IELTS is optional, but applicants may submit it if available).
Applicants must be in their first year of a master’s degree.
