Crucial Work Duties:
- The duty of the courtesy clerk/grocery bagger is to bag customers’ groceries at the time of check-out.
- The colleague will try to put at least five items into the bag while ensuring that the contents or products are intact.
- The grocery bagger and courtesy clerk use best practices when packing things in different kinds of bags, such as paper, plastic, and reusable ones.
- The associate will assist in taking the things out of the basket’s bottom so that the customer can check out
- The grocery bagger or courtesy clerk will offer to assist clients in loading their bags into their cars.
- Carry out simple shelf conditioning.
- Tell customers about deals on groceries.
- Place the goods back on the store shelves.
- Reassemble the bascarts at their assigned locations.
- Clear up spills and pick up garbage from the parking lot and inside the business.
- Make sure the store is spotless, both inside and out.
- Assemble and handle seasonal goods.
- Recognize the layout of the store, find the products, and check prices with the cashiers.
- Strengthen safety initiatives by following protocols; also, report any dangerous situations, mishaps, or problems to store management.
- Respect all laws and directives pertaining to food safety.
- By thoroughly inspecting equipment and reporting any things that require repair to the relevant department or store manager, you can practice preventive maintenance.
- Respect all local, state, federal, and corporate regulations.
