The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), founders of the Caroline Holt Nursing Scholarship 2024, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization committed to encouraging patriotism, preserving American history, and ensuring America’s future via improved children’s education.
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was created on October 11, 1890, amid a period of renewed patriotism and considerable interest in the early history of the United States of America. Every year, DAR awards multiple scholarships to students who demonstrate a commitment to higher education in a variety of fields, including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science, and English.
